The “My Outdoor Adventure” is an opportunity for families with a special needs child to get away from everyday life and allow others to show them love and compassion and give them an opportunity to enjoy God’s Great Outdoors as a family. Adventures can be any outdoor activity the child wishes to do. Common activities include hunting, fishing, and camping. All arrangements and funds are provided by Josh’s Hope.

 

Josh's Hope Foundation accepts referrals at anytime during the year. All adventure requests are reviewed by the foundations Board of Directors and must meet the following criteria.

 

Child must be under 21 years old.
Parent or Legal Guardian must approve of the selected activity.
Qualify under our special need definition. (see below)
Be mentally capable of handling the selected activity.
Be physically capable of handling the activity with personal assistance or the assistance of equipment.
 
Special Need Definition Defined as a chronic illness where normal activities can not be performed or the child requires the use of medical equipment during some part of their day, physically or mentally handicapped or terminally ill.
